Paula Pollick Mitchell

Passed away Monday Feb.1, 2010 in Millington. At the age of 100. Pauline (Paula) was born in Drahovca, Austria  on Dec.10, 1909. The daughter of Michael and Pauline (Bugar) Holik. With her family she came to America at the age of four, settling in the Albee area.

 She married Stephen R. Pollick in 1930, she is survived by four sons: Richard (Alice) of Saginaw,  Joseph (Sally) of Frankenmuth, Stephen (Jean) of Oakley, and Michael (Marge) of the Villages of Florida.

 She married Merlin Mitchell in 1964 and is survived by a step daughter Carolyn (Joe) Clark of Arizona and a step son Richard (Laura) Mitchell of Ithaca.

 Pauline was a homemaker who loved cooking, baking, sewing and painting and growing beautiful flowers.

 Also surviving is one sister, Sister Anthony Therese of Mancelona, and a sister is laws Rose Pasek of Florida, Myra Devereaux of Chesaning and Ruby Parks of Ovid. 28 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren, as well as several step grandchildren, great and great- great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.

 Paula was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and a son Robert, a step son Wayne, grandchildren Jessica and Joseph, sisters Mary Bolf, Josephine Karbowski and brothers George Holik and Joseph Pasek and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday Feb.4, 2010 at 11:00 am at St.Michaels Catholic Church, Oakley. Rev.Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with burial at Ridge Road Cemetery, Brady Twp.

Friends may call at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning on Wed. From 2-8 pm and at the church on Thursday starting at 10:00 am.
